Oral pain product advice
Mouth ulcers are relatively common, with up to a quarter of adults experiencing them,1 An estimated 9 per cent of children2 experience them, too.Despite most mouth ulcers usually being only 2mm to 5mm across,1 they can be extremely painful. That’s why guidelines1 recommend trying over-the-counter treatments which contain a topical anaesthetic, an analgesic or anti-inflammatory, and/or an antimicrobial. These may help achieve pain relief, reduce how long an ulcer lasts, and reduce the frequency of episodes.
