Significance of community pharmacy
Working in community pharmacy, you and your team are well placed to help the older customers in your local area and consequently help drive the WE100™ initiative. This in turn will assist society in embracing an era of prolonged life expectancy and supporting older people to be active, healthy members of society for longer.
You may not fully appreciate the significance of community pharmacy in the UK as a whole and the difference your help and advice can make to older people’s lives

Think about the different types of advice you can give to your older customers to help with their diet, physical wellbeing and mental health. Do you currently run any services or have any information leaflets to support the advice you give?
