Step 1 – Identify potential customers and think about how you will approach them

Step 2 – Make sure you know the key features and benefits of the products so you can answer questions confidently

Step 3 – Know the key questions you need to ask to gather the necessary information about a customer’s pet, and make sure you can recall them easily. We have summarised them here as a reminder:

  • Species
  • Age
  • Weight
  • General health (including whether they are pregnant/lactating)
  • Check if the pet is taking other medicines
  • Check your customer’s understanding of what the product is for, and give guidance on use - especially how to apply and how frequently.
