Well woman advice

Postmenopausal women should be encouraged to attend regular cervical, breast and sexual health screenings. Women affected by VA may be concerned about the discomfort of cervical screening; however, using treatment can help alleviate this issue.

General lifestyle advice that may be appropriate includes:

Exercise regularly (including weight-bearing and resistance exercise)

Eat a healthy diet (including plenty of sources of calcium)

Getting enough sunlight or using vitamin D supplements, particularly in the winter months when they may not get enough vitamin D from sun exposure.
