Customers might not know what's wrong with their nail, so you may play a role in identifying the problem. They might be embarrassed, so ask if they would like to use the consultation room. Fungal nail infections do not discriminate between men and women; however, men are more commonly affected.2

Risk factors2

A number of factors can increase the risk of a fungal nail infection developing. These may help you to recognise a fungal nail infection and to tailor your self-care advice. Examples include:

  • Family history
  • Older age
  • Ill-fitting or occlusive (i.e. close-toed) footwear
  • Exposure to warm, damp environments e.g. gyms or swimming pool changing rooms
  • Repeated nail trauma, nail-biting and exposure to wet work

Remember, when treating with Curanail 5% Fungal Nail Treatment, only customers over 18 years and with no more than 2 nails affected can use this product.
