Eczema : A common problem

Eczema can develop at any age; however, most cases emerge during early childhood, typically between 3 and 6 months of age.¹

Eczema may be chronic or relapsing; many cases resolve spontaneously, but eczema sometimes persists into adulthood.^1,3

Eczema seems to arise from the interaction of genetic and environmental risk factors.¹

A child with one or two atopic parent(s) has a 25% and 50% risk of developing eczema or another atopic disease respectively.⁴
