The Royal Pharmaceutical Society is looking for a new chief education and membership officer following the departure of Neville Carter after less than a year in the role.

Chief executive Paul Bennett said in a statement issued to Pharmacy Magazine: “Neville Carter left his role as chief education and membership officer (CEMO) at the end of August to pursue new opportunities. We wish Neville all the best for the future and thank him for his contribution to our education and membership offer since joining the organisation in October last year.

“RPS will continue to work to enhance our membership proposition, including our educational activities through strengthening our teams, our products, and our services. We will be recruiting a new CEMO in due course to enable us to continue to do that and our strategic ambitions to support the profession remain as strong as ever.”

Mr Carter joined the RPS in October 2022 from the Royal Society of Medicine following a controversial executive team restructure at pharmacy’s leadership body, which saw Gail Fleming, director for education and professional development, and Robbie Turner, director of pharmacy and membership experience, both leave the organisation.
