The contenders for this year’s election to the Royal Pharmaceutical Society's national pharmacy boards have been announced.
The five vacancies on the English Board will be contested by 10 candidates, including two current Board members, Sharon Buckle and Andre Yeung. The other contenders are Adebayo Adegbite, Emma Boxer, Nabila Chaudhri, Brendon Jiang, Ewan Maule, Anna Maxwell, Sherifat Muhammad Kamal and Sian Retallick.
Jiang previously served on the EPB having taken up what the Royal Pharmaceutical Society described as “a casual vacancy” in 2019 following the controversial removal of Sid Dajani.
Voting opens on 29 April and those who win election will serve a three-year term. The deadline for voting is May 9.
Joshua Miller, Richard Shearer and Jill Swan have been elected unopposed to the Scottish Board which received three valid nominations, while Liz Hallett, the sole nomination to the Welsh Board, has also been elected unopposed.
Elected officials to the English, Scottish and Welsh boards are expected to start their terms on the 21st, 8th and 22nd of June respectively.
