Superdrug has launched what it claims is the UK's “most comprehensive fertility test service on the high street”.

Comprising a Superdrug Online Doctor consultation and personalised fertility test recommendations, the aim is to give women better insight into their fertility and help them make more informed decisions about the options available to them, said the company.

Depending on the outcome of the consultation, it may be appropriate to take one of the five new fertility blood tests launched alongside the service, the company added.

Caris Newson, head of healthcare services at Superdrug, said: “We want to make it as convenient as possible for people to get professional advice and support when it comes to their fertility.

"Our new service will allow women to take control of their health and have a better, more informed understanding of their fertility.”

The fee for the consultation is £5. Patients can also message the Superdrug doctor service free of charge following the consultation if they have additional questions.
