Phoenix has rebranded its digital repeat prescription app as Hey Pharmacist after acquiring it from Co-op Health in April.
The new brand is aimed at "reinforcing the link between the patient and their local healthcare professional," said Phoenix, adding that from October the app will offer patients in-store collection at Numark member pharmacies with staff supported "to actively on-board patients in stores".
"As part of this development, we will be trialling patient on boarding resources to ensure we are providing members will the tools to maximise the opportunity for patient engagement."
The company said that by the beginning of 2022 members "will be able to offer all Hey Pharmacist patients both a collection and delivery service and have full visibility and management of orders and the patient journey".
Numark is also investing in a national marketing campaign to raise public awareness of the service.
Numark managing director Jeremy Meader said: "This is a very exciting time for all our member pharmacies. The transition from Co-op Health to Hey Pharmacist is the beginning of our roadmap of ongoing development that will allow our members to compete in the online pharmacy space, retaining that essential line of communication between patient and pharmacist.
"The new brand is full of personality and truly depicts the warm welcome of pharmacy. We wanted to make sure human connection shone through alongside digital ease and convenience. We look forward to relaunching the app and supporting our members in taking this exciting digital proposition to the next level."
