As it faces a sustained increase in demand for its services, sector charity Pharmacist Support is seeking input from pharmacists to help shape its new strategy.
The charity has recruited a market research agency in order to “understand the issues facing those in the profession today, to establish gaps in support and help them form a picture of what those in the profession want from the charity moving forward,†it said.
Pharmacists can share their views via an online survey that will help shape the future activities of the charity and will be live until Sunday May 26. The charity will also be carrying out a series of one-to-one interviews.
Pharmacist Support said it was “keen to gather the thoughts of pharmacists across the country and from all sectors of the profession. Former pharmacists and retirees, MPharm students and pre-registration traineesâ€.
Pharmacist Support chief executive Danielle Hunt said: “We’re now 10 years on from our previous research that led to and informed our relaunch as Pharmacist Support (from the Benevolent Fund). So much has changed in this time, and continues to change, as the charity continues to face an increase in demand for its services.
“We felt it as imperative we went out to the sector to gain crucial feedback and insight to form our new strategy, which we will launch later in the year. It is important to us as a charity established and funded by pharmacists that we remain relevant and able to meet the changing needs of the sector.â€
