The Government has decided to continue commissioning the pandemic delivery service for people told to self-isolate by test-and-trace in England until March 31 next year.
The extension of the service means pharmacies will carry on providing prescription medicines and appliances to patients’ homes during the 10 days they are isolating if they cannot get hold of them.
Patients must provide their eight-digit test-and-trace account ID when requesting the service. The delivery service from pharmacies had been extended until September 30.
“A record of the NHS Test and Trace Account ID reference number must be made and retained as part of the contractor’s delivery record,” the PSNC said.
