NHS England’s director responsible for community pharmacy, Ed Waller, will be among the keynote speakers at the NPA conference, it has been confirmed.
Mr Waller, who is director of primary care strategy and NHS contracts, joins health secretary Matt Hancock on the list of influential guests to address NPA members on 20 June in Manchester.
He leads on community pharmacy strategy and the Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework for NHS England.
The conference is a collaboration between the NPA and Communications International Group, publisher of Pharmacy Magazine, Independent Community Pharmacist, P3 Pharmacy and Training Matters.
NPA chief executive, Mark Lyonette, said: “The theme of our conference is Forwards in Partnership, and that includes working collaboratively with the NHS in pursuit of shared, patient-focused objectives. So we are delighted to announce that Ed Waller has accepted the invitation to share with our members his perspective on community pharmacy now and in the future.”
More speakers will be unveiled shortly.
