The Association of Pharmacy Technicians UK has appointed Liz Fidler as its new president following the departure of Tess Fenn in 2018.
Liz Fidler was previously the associate dean for quality at Health Education England, working across Kent, Surrey and Sussex. She has led many national projects for pharmacy technician development, including accuracy checking for community pharmacy technicians, securing funding for Pharmacy Integration Fund projects and leading on the development of the new pharmacy technician qualification.
She has also held positions on the Kent Branch Committee and was previously APTUK’s education officer.
Ellen Williams, director of regional pharmacy training, South West Medicines Information & Training, has been appointed as vice president.
