Morrisons has teamed up with an online pharmacy to launch an online private prescription service which will allow patients to receive treatments for a range of conditions including the menopause possibly by the next working day.
The Morrisons Clinic will be run in partnership with the online pharmacy Phlo, whose pharmacists will assess the online questionnaires patients will need to fill out to decide if they are suitable for their requested medication.
Other conditions the clinic will provide treatments for include period delay, hair loss, erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, weight loss, migraine, hay fever, acid reflux and acne.
If a patient is approved for their treatment, their prescription will be dispensed and delivered to them through Royal Mail Tracked 24.
The service is only available to patients in England at the moment and Morrisons has not said if it will launch it in Scotland and Wales. The clinic is hosted on the supermarket’s website at clinic.morrisons.com.
Morrisons’ head of services John Parry said: “We know how frustrating it can be waiting to see your GP for an appointment, so we’re delighted to be launching the Morrisons Clinic.
“Our customers will now be able to order medication for a number of different health and lifestyle conditions quickly and conveniently, all at competitive prices.”
