Lossiemouth Pharmacy, a 4,200 items-per-month pharmacy in Morayshire, has been sold to Right Medicine Pharmacy, property company Christie & Co announced today.

The business, described as Lossiemouth’s only independently owned pharmacy was sold by John Ross (Chemists) to the Right Medicine group, a company comprising more than 30 pharmacies that said it plans to develop the business through introducing more services.

Lossiemouth Pharmacy was sold for an undisclosed price. 

Right Medicine Pharmacy’s Mike Embrey commented: “This pharmacy was a great fit for our business, and we managed an easy and seamless takeover.

“It came with a well-established and enthusiastic support team that will help to embrace new pharmacy services and grow the business with their new pharmacy manager. 

“We look forward to serving the patients of Lossiemouth and surrounding areas for the next 20 years.”

Christie & Co medical director Karl Clezy, who handled the sale, commented: “This was a quick sale where we agreed a deal after only one week on the market. Several parties expressed interest in this branch, including a list of first-time buyers.”
