Over a dozen companies have been forced to amend their advertising following MHRA action to ensure that the POM Kenalog (triamcinolone acetonide) is not promoted online to the public for the treatment of hay fever.
Promotion of any POM to the general public is prohibited and neither is Kenalog a licensed treatment for hay fever, the regulator states.
The companies concerned are:
- Aesthetica & Wellness Centre Ltd
- Allergy Relief Clinic
- Beauty Health Aesthetics Ltd
- Cosmedic Skin Clinic Limited
- Elite Aesthetic Treatment Clinic
- Dental Kind (trading as Face Kind By Dental Kind)
- Ghosh Medical Limited (trading as Ghosh Medical Group)
- Midway Pharmacy
- PAMM Healthcare Limited (trading as Glasgow Medical Rooms)
- Flyingmedicine Ltd (trading as PrivateMedical.Clinic)
- The Aesthetics Clinic
- The Wellington Place Clinic Ltd (trading as The Whitehall Clinic)
- Ultima Vitality Ltd
- Xavier G. Medical Aesthetix Limited (trading as Dr Xavier & Associates Clinic).
The list relates to specific advertising action taken on a particular date and is not an endorsement of the ongoing practices of the websites, says the MHRA.
