The serious shortage protocol for Progynova TS 100micrograms/24hours transdermal patches has been extended because of continuing disruptions to the supply of the product.
According to the Department of Health and Social Care update, published on the Community Pharmacy England’s website, the SSP will now expire on Friday, September 8, 2023 having originally been scheduled to expire on Friday, June 9.
For every Progynova TS 100micrograms/24hours transdermal patch originally prescribed, one FemSeven 100 patch must be supplied.
Community Pharmacy England said there are no SSPs for Progynova TS 50micrograms/24hours transdermal patches because they are “not affected by supply disruptions and should continue to be dispensed in accordance with the prescriptions.”
