Health Education England is inviting bids from community pharmacy providers for a £500,000 contract to train and develop supervisors of pharmacy staff including independent prescribers.
HEE said the chosen provider will train designated supervisors of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians and designated prescribing practitioners to ensure they “are trained, competent and confident to provide support.”
The contract, based in Leeds, starts on July 1 and ends on June 30 next year.
In advertising the role on its website, HEE said its “strategic goal is to assure and deliver, with partners, quality education and training that is rigorous, highly sought after and future-focused.”
