Liam Anstey has been appointed as the General Pharmaceutical Council’s new director for Wales.
Prior to joining the GPhC, Liam worked at the British Medical Association, where he led on public affairs issues for Wales, most recently as head of media and public affairs. Liam previously worked for the General Medical Council where he led on policy and public affairs issues for Wales as well as for the Royal College of Nursing – where he worked on the campaign for the Nurse Staffing Levels (Wales) Act and the Public Services Ombudsman for Wales.
Duncan Rudkin, GPhC chief executive, said: “Liam brings significant knowledge of health policy and experience of engaging with stakeholders in Wales to the role. My colleagues and I are looking forward to working closely with Liam to make sure we respond effectively to key developments in Wales.”
