The number of hayfever sufferers is set to more than double to 31.8 million by 2030, leading pollen expert Dr Jean Emberlin has warned in a new report sponsored by Opticrom Hayfever Eye Drops.

The report claims that as a result of pollution and climate change, up to 45 per cent of people in big cities like London are expected to suffer from hayfever in the next two decades. In a survey of 2,000 UK adults by Opticrom, nearly a third reported worsening symptoms over the past few years.
