An independent pharmacy in north London has been sold to a small pharmacy group.
Greenacre Pharmacy, which is situated in Cockfosters, was bought by Mansons Group which owns Simmons Pharmacy in the same area for an undisclosed fee.
Greenacre had been owned by Nalin Shah and his family for the last 40 years but he decided to retire.
“We acquired the pharmacy in 1982 and have since developed the business into a friendly neighbourhood pharmacy serving several generations who we came to know personally,” he said.
Jack Chard, asociate director - pharmacy at Christie & Co, who brokered the deal, said it was “undoubtedly a smart move from both the seller and buyer, who both made the deal incredibly stress-free through their open lines of communication.”
