A new service to enable health professionals or members of the public to search for information about medicines has been created by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Authority.

The MHRA products website carries information on:

• Patient information leaflets - the leaflets which are provided with medicines
• Summary of product characteristics - the description of the medicinal product’s properties and how it can be used
• Public assessment reports - scientific reports about marketing authorisations for medicines

Users can search by product, active substance or PL number. The service replaces the previously separate MHRA websites.
