Numark has announced that Phoenix sales director Jeremy Meader will succeed John D’Arcy as managing director of the organisation.
Mr Meader joined the company three years ago, having previously worked with GSK and Alliance Healthcare.
John D’Arcy will remain a "strong ambassador" for Numark and a "vocal advocate for community pharmacy" as non-executive chairman, said the company.
A statement from Numark said: "Jeremy brings with him huge experience and knowledge of not only the sector, but a unique understanding of the Numark membership having headed up the Pharmacy Development team, during which time membership growth reached an all-time high in both existing and new channels."
Steve Anderson, group managing director at Phoenix UK, commented: “We have a great team at Numark and we are going from strength to strength with ambitious growth plans over the coming years. Our sector is facing many challenges, but I know Jeremy and John will develop the solutions and support our customers need to succeedâ€.
